Welcome to Thongsley!
We are delighted to welcome you to our school family. Starting or changing schools is one of the most important times in a child’s life and we will nurture and support them to feel at home as quickly as possible.
At Thongsley, we aim to serve our community by providing a full and rounded education of the highest quality. With the support of The Cam Academy Trust, we have our sights firmly set on excellence, pushing boundaries and giving all of our children the very best possible life experiences. We expect all of our children to work hard and to make the most of their time with us. We will help them to develop the self-discipline, sense of responsibility and respect for others that they will need to grow as caring, successful members of society. We expect high standards of work and behaviour and promote an active involvement in school life.
Parental support is vital in achieving these aims and we will do our very best to nurture a positive working relationship between home and school. Visits are always welcome and we will be very pleased to show you around our extensive site and grounds.
We hope that your partnership with us is a happy and fulfilling one and we look forward to working together – growing hearts and minds.

Our Story
In September 1968, brand new infant and junior schools opened their doors to serve the newly built Oxmoor estate in Huntingdon. In 2003, the two schools were combined to create Thongsley Fields Primary & Nursery School, catering for children from 3 to 11 years of age and in 2013, new building work was completed to further enhance the provision we are able to offer.
