4-5 year olds
This half term in Ash Class, we will be starting our new topic ‘People who help us’. We will be thinking about the different people in our school that help us, then begin to explore the people in the wider community. We will think about when we need help and who is an appropriate person to ask. We will also think about how we can help the people around us too.
To develop our communication and language skills, we will learn new words associated with the people that help us. As visits are not possible at the moment, we will receive video messages from members of the police, doctors, vets and firefighters and talk about some of the vehicles and equipment that they use. Our role play will reflect some of these people so that we can practise our language and new vocabulary.
Every Thursday afternoon is Forest School for Ash class and we love it! We enjoy spending time in the forest, climbing trees and observing the changes in the forest through the seasons. We will need to wrap up warm for the forest this half term as we explore the transition of autumn into winter in all weathers!
Keep checking Tapestry for updates of our learning!
