During the summer term, our focus will be the captivating world of the ancient Egyptians. Through engaging texts such as Horrible Histories – Awesome Egyptians, Marcy and the Riddle of the Sphinx, and The Heart Scarab, we'll immerse ourselves in both fiction and non-fiction, delving into the mysteries and wonders of this ancient civilization. We will also be studying the River Nile in our Geography lessons, along with other important local and internationally important rivers. In science, our exploration will center on animals and humans, where we'll investigate food groups and what constitutes a healthy diet.

Additionally, we'll dive into the fascinating realms of skeletons and muscles, discovering their structure and functions. In English, we'll further hone our writing skills to entertain, persuade, and inform, focusing on enhancing our sentence structure, vocabulary choices, spelling, and handwriting. Through these key skills and intertwined topics, we'll embark on an enriching journey of discovery and learning.

In PE this term, we are lucky enough to have a cricket coach visiting us every Monday to help us hone our throwing and catching skills. Please ensure children come to school wearing the correct PE Kit each Monday. Holly and Hazel Class will have an extra PE session on Wednesday, with Elm’s turn to be in Forest School during that time!

Please don’t forget to keep an eye on Class Dojo for all the latest Year 3/4 news.
